The Brassini variety belongs to the Brassica oleracea L. (Kohlrabi Group), however, its purpose is to produce leaf mass rather than the stem tuber traditional for this crop. The plant is intended for cultivation in hydroponic culture as a component for salad mixes.

The plant features purple leaf coloration, a characteristic curved shape of the leaf blade, as well as reddish petioles and veins. The leaves have a mild fruity taste. Harvesting is carried out when the leaves reach a length of 8–15 cm, which takes from 4 to 8 weeks.
