The Blusta variety is a mid-season or late kohlrabi with a vegetation period of 50–60 days. The stem tubers have a medium size, flat-round shape, and deep blue-violet coloration. The inside of the fruit maintains a soft texture and does not become woody if harvest is delayed.
The plant possesses resistance to bolting and cracking. The variety is intended for cultivation in the open field during the spring, summer, and autumn periods. Deep, nutritious garden soils are suitable for planting.
This variety is an open-pollinated population, not an F1 hybrid.
