Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety was developed from the traditional Blauer Speck type using positive mass selection. The plant is characterized by slow growth and a tendency to bolt when sown too early. Recommended sowing dates are June-July.

The stem tubers have a purple color, a shape ranging from flat-round to round, and a sturdy stem with a pronounced waxy bloom on the surface. The fruit flesh is not prone to lignification. Mature plants are capable of withstanding light frosts, and the fruits retain keeping quality until March.

The recommended planting scheme varies from 30x30 cm to 40x60 cm, depending on the desired harvest size.
