The plant does not form a tight head, developing wide leaves from a central point, and reaches a height of 45–60 cm. The leaves are characterized by a jade hue and fleshy, thick white veins, resembling chard or broccoli stems in texture.
The variety is distinguished by high heat tolerance and the ability to withstand light frosts, which make the taste of the leaves more delicate. The growing period is 60–85 days, and the plant is capable of continuing growth after harvesting the outer leaves.
The taste qualities of the variety are described as mild and sweet. In cooking, both leaves and stems are used, including them in stews and traditional soups.
