The Callaway F1 hybrid forms dense and compact flat-shaped heads. The height of the head is about 2–3 cm, the width is up to 12 cm, and the weight of the heads varies in the range of 3 to 8 kg depending on growing conditions.
The plant is characterized by vigorous growth and a powerful root system, which allows it to be cultivated in open field from early spring to late autumn. The hybrid is suitable for fresh consumption, making salads, and pickling.
Due to the specific flat shape of the leaves, the variety is particularly in demand in cooking for preparing stuffed cabbage rolls, as it allows for obtaining leaves with a large surface area.
