Express white cabbage is a very early variety with small cone-shaped heads weighing about 750 g. The plant is compact with few outer leaves and is used primarily fresh.
Under the name China Express Hybrid, one can find an early-maturing Napa-type Chinese cabbage. It forms dense barrel-shaped heads weighing up to 2 kg with bright green leaves and is resistant to tipburn and bolting.
There is also a Savoy Express hybrid with crinkled savoy cabbage leaves, characterized by a rapid maturation of about 55 days. All varieties of the Express type are oriented toward obtaining an extra-early harvest and are not intended for long-term storage.
