The variety matures in 100–130 days. The plant forms an upright rosette of greyish-green, finely wrinkled leaves with a waxy bloom. The head is flat, dense, weighing from 5 kg, with a yellowish-white interior structure and a short external stump.
The plant possesses winter hardiness but is prone to cracking if left in the field too long. The heads are juicy, suitable for fresh consumption and sauerkraut production. The storage life of the heads is about four months, until March.
