The variety belongs to fodder forms of turnip rape. Due to its classification as a diploid plant with an AA genome, it is actively used in scientific research as a resource for studying recombination mechanisms and creating hybrids with rapeseed.
The plant possesses well-developed petals, which allows it to be used in studies of pollinator behavior. Within breeding programs, individual plants of this variety were selected by researchers for the presence of resistance traits to phoma stem canker, caused by the pathogen Leptosphaeria maculans.
