The variety is a diploid cultivar of spring turnip rape, adapted to the conditions of Finland. Research indicates the sensitivity of plants to the temperature regime during the growing season.

The variety is frequently used in scientific papers as a subject for studying interactions with pests, such as flea beetles, as well as a control standard when analyzing seed composition, including oil content, protein content, and glucosinolate profile.
