The variety forms round root crops, a distinctive feature of which is the golden-yellow color of both the skin and the flesh. The plant is characterized as a variety with a medium vegetation period, suitable for autumn-winter cultivation on light soils.

The root crops have a mild taste and are suitable for consumption boiled, fried, or baked. The recommended size for harvesting is from 7 to 18 cm in diameter. The variety is a traditional cultivar, also known by the names Golden Ball and Jaune boule d'or.
