The variety is intended for use as a forage crop for the formation of highly productive pastures and hayfields. The crop is characterized by the ability for rapid development in the field, high dry matter yield, and high-quality feed composition with a high sugar content, which ensures good silage quality.

The species prefers a mild temperate climate. The plant possesses drought tolerance, however, it does not tolerate prolonged severe frosts well.
