The variety is used primarily for mowing, as it does not tolerate intensive grazing and trampling well. The plant possesses high yield and the ability to grow during the autumn-winter period in Mediterranean conditions. Sugar content contributes to good ensilability; the crop is distinguished by high palatability.
The variety has medium to low winter hardiness and is sensitive to low temperatures. It is characterized by poor adaptation to soils with water stagnation and is susceptible to infection by Ustilago bullata.
