The plant is a compact shrub 20–40 cm in height with a dense, bushy or cushion-shaped crown. The leaves are small, scale-like or needle-like, and bright green.
The variety belongs to the bud-blooming heather group. The large white buds do not open, which allows them to retain their ornamental quality on the shoots until the onset of cold weather. The flowering period lasts from September to November.
The plant possesses high resistance to rain, fog, and frosts down to -20 °C. It is used in landscape design for decorating heather gardens, rock gardens, planting in containers, and creating floral compositions.
