The plant forms a dense bush with upright shoots, reaching a height of 26–40 cm and a width of 31–45 cm. The foliage is dark green, which may acquire brownish shades during the winter period.
The variety belongs to the bud-blooming type, in which the flowers do not open fully, ensuring high resistance to adverse weather conditions such as rain and frost. Flowering continues from August or September to November.
Frost resistance is rated for USDA zone 4. The plant is widely used in landscape design for creating group compositions and heather gardens, and is also grown in containers and flower pots.
