The Arlequin F1 hybrid is a mid-early or early plant with vigorous growth. The "bull's horn" type fruits have an elongated conical shape measuring 5x20–22 cm with thick walls. At technical maturity, they are light green or light yellow; at biological maturity, they are red. The hybrid is resistant to tobacco mosaic virus; the fruits are suitable for transportation and long-term storage, intended for open field and greenhouses.
The decorative variety "Арлекин" is a low-growing determinate bush with a height of 15–20 cm. The fruits are small, weighing 10–15 g, of an oblong shape with a pointed tip. A characteristic feature is the multi-colored appearance of the fruits, which change color as they ripen from purple and white to yellow, orange, and red. The variety is intended for pot cultivation and for use as a decorative plant or as a hot seasoning.
