Corno di Carmagnola, also known as Corno di Bue, is a landrace variety adapted to the conditions of the Carmagnola region. It is a group of varieties comprising various reproductions and breeding selections that may differ in external characteristics.
The fruits have a pronounced conical shape over 20 cm in length with three or four lobes. In biological maturity, the color varies from deep yellow to bright red. The flesh of the fruits is thick and consistent.
The plant reaches a height of 60–90 cm. It belongs to late-maturing varieties; the harvest period lasts from late July to October. The produce is used fresh, for grilling, and for canning.
