The Kapitány F1 hybrid belongs to the kapia type and is intended for cultivation in open fields, plastic greenhouses, and soilless culture. The plant is capable of continuous fruit set and possesses reduced sensitivity to light deficiency, which allows for transplanting in mid-February.
The variety possesses genetic resistance to Tobacco mosaic virus (L3 gene) and Tomato spotted wilt virus. Fruits change color from medium-green to red upon ripening, have a regular shape without spots, and do not diminish in size throughout the season. Fruit purpose is fresh consumption.
