Variety description

10 August 2026

Kárminvörös is a stable open-pollinated sweet pepper variety. The plant is indeterminate, forms a compact standard bush 45–55 cm tall with sparse foliage, which simplifies harvesting.

Fruits are pendent, 12–15 cm long, have an elongated, slightly curved shape and a smooth surface. The variety is distinguished by an exceptionally high content of coloring pigments, reaching 260–355 ASTA upon ripening.

The variety is high-yielding, suitable for intensive cultivation technologies, including drip irrigation and plastic mulching. Primary purpose is obtaining high-quality sweet paprika; it is used in the production of products with a protected geographical indication.
