The Marconi variety type includes plants whose height varies from 45 to 120 cm, with a determinate or semi-indeterminate bush type. Maturity group usually ranges from 72 to 115 days.
The fruits have an elongated conical, often curved shape, reaching a length of 15–30 cm with a weight of 110–200 g, sometimes up to 300 g. At the stage of biological maturity, the fruit color becomes red or golden-yellow.
The hybrid form Giant Marconi F1 possesses resistance to tobacco mosaic virus and potato virus Y. Due to the large weight of the fruits, tall bushes often require staking.
