The Niber rootstock is intended for grafting commercial pepper varieties. Its use is aimed at increasing water use efficiency, developing the root system and modulating the hormonal balance of the plant, which facilitates moisture retention.
The application of this rootstock helps to maintain or increase the yield of marketable produce under conditions of moisture deficit and soil salinity. It does not have a negative impact on the physicochemical properties of the fruits and in some cases contributes to an increase in lycopene content.
