Bell Boy
ActiveCapsicum annuum L. · Bell pepper
ROYAL SLUIS
10 August 2026
The growing period is 100–120 days after transplanting. The plant is medium-sized, forms a sprawling open bush that requires support to prevent lodging.
The fruits are elongated, about 7.5 cm, thin-walled and pointed. During the ripening process, the color changes from dark lilac or purple to dark red with a purple tint. The pungency level varies from medium to high (in the range of 5 000 – 75 000 SHU).
The variety has ornamental properties due to its dark stems, purple flowers, and bright fruits, so it is often grown in 5–10 liter containers or in open field. The fruits are used in cooking, in particular for drying, preparing sauces, curries, and Asian cuisine dishes.
