The Reda variety is a breeding development used by specialists at the Institute of Horticulture of the Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry for experimental purposes. In the course of scientific work, the influence of seedling age, as well as various spectra of artificial lighting on plant development, was studied.
Fruits of this variety have an orange color. When grown from seedlings, harvest ripening begins approximately 50 days after planting. During the studies, indicators of leaf area and accumulation of photosynthetic pigments were recorded.
