The F1 Volpedo hybrid (also known as PLA 926) is a medium-long type of Lamuyo pepper. The plant is characterized by compactness, an upright habit, and vigorous growth, is capable of re-flowering, and provides good foliage cover for the fruits.
The fruits have an elongated shape with pronounced ribs, reaching a length of 16–18 cm. During the ripening process, the color changes from bright green to intense yellow. Due to the thick flesh walls, the fruits have a significant weight. The hybrid is characterized by high productivity and stability of fruit size across all tiers.
The variety possesses high resistance to tobacco mosaic virus (Tm: 0-2) and intermediate resistance to tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV). It is intended for cultivation in the open field and is suitable both for fresh market sales and for industrial processing.
