Tree with a dense conical crown, which becomes broadly ovoid with age, reaching a height of 10–15 meters. The branches of mature trees may slightly droop. The bark has a gray color.
Summer foliage is bright green, turning orange and red shades in autumn. The leaves possess the property of marcescence, remaining on the branches throughout the winter. The plant tolerates pruning and shaping well.
The variety adapts to various soil types, including sandy, clay, and calcareous, and is wind-resistant. Winter hardiness corresponds to zone 5a. Used as a specimen plant, in avenue and park plantings, as well as for forming hedges.
