The growing season of the variety is about 127 days. The plant forms from 10 to 25 heads with a diameter of 2.5–3.0 cm. The leaves are covered with small, sharp spines. The flowers have a yellow color, which changes to a red shade by the end of flowering.

The thousand kernel weight varies from 38.8 to 49.2 g. The variety is intended for arid conditions, where its yield can reach more than 2 t/ha. The resulting oil is used in the food industry, and the oil cake is used as livestock feed.
