The variety has an erect stem that becomes woody at the base and reaches a height of 50–110 cm. At the stage of physiological maturity, the plants are characterized by pronounced spininess. The flowers are yellow.
The vegetation period of the variety is 100–130 days. The plant has a well-developed taproot system, which ensures adaptation to drought. The variety shows high resistance to the disease Colletotrichum acutatum.
The thousand kernel weight varies from 25 to 50 g, and the oil content in them is 25–45%. The hull content of the seed is in the range of 40–60%. The crop is intended for oil production, bird feed, and can be used as green manure at early stages of development.
