Variety description

The vegetation period is 130–135 days. The height of the erect stem reaches 85–95 cm. The variety is a non-spiny form; leaves are rounded in shape without serrations along the edges, with the presence of single spines possible only in rare arid years on the leaves enveloping the capitulum.

The diameter of the capitulum is 2.5–3.0 cm, the number of capitula per plant varies from 10 to 25 pieces, reaching 50 under favorable conditions. Seed oil content is 28–36%, thousand kernel weight is 40–45 g, husk content is 40–50%.

The variety is a thermophilic crop adapted to a dry continental climate, characterized by drought resistance. Seed shattering is absent even after reaching full maturity. Yield is about 1.9 t/ha.
