Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is a compact evergreen shrub with glossy dark green leaves that may acquire a bronze or chocolate shade in winter. The plant reaches 0.8–1.2 m in height and up to 1.5 m in width. Abundant flowering with sapphire-blue inflorescences is observed in spring and early summer.

The plant is relatively resistant to wind, sea salt air, and Verticillium wilt. It prefers full sun and well-drained soils, and does not tolerate waterlogging. In USDA zones 8a–10b, it is suitable for open field cultivation; in colder climatic conditions, it requires protection or container cultivation.

The variety is used in ornamental gardening as a specimen plant, for creating low hedges, landscaping slopes, and for terrace greening. The plant attracts insect pollinators, including bees and butterflies.
