The plant is an evergreen shrub reaching a height and width of about 2.4–3 meters. Lateral shoots grow rigidly and at an upward angle. The leaves are small, elliptical, glossy, with serrated edges, and are colored yellow with a green central part.
Flowering occurs in late spring and early summer, forming dense paniculate inflorescences of a bright blue color. The shrub is intended for landscape design: creating hedges, borders, or for use as a solitary planting.
The plant belongs to hardiness zone 8. It prefers sunny sites with well-drained soils, including sandy, loamy, or calcareous soils.
