The Tuxedo variety (breeding number FIT02) is a bud mutation of the Autumnal Blue variety. The plant is an upright, bushy or fan-shaped shrub 1.2 to 3 meters tall and 0.75–1.5 meters wide.

The lavender-blue or pale lilac flowers are gathered in inflorescences. The variety is resistant to Verticillium wilt and is characterized by USDA hardiness zone 8 (down to -7...-15 °C). It prefers full sun, well-drained soils, and possesses drought tolerance once established.
