The variety was developed by crossing (Triple awn lemma x Pallas3) x Hellas. In Italy, it is included in the National Registry as a winter variety suitable for cultivation in specific climatic conditions.

The variety's grain is of high quality and has one of the best ratios of unsaturated to saturated fatty acids. Yield under production conditions exceeds 2.5 t/ha, and in field trials with low-input technologies, it is approximately 1.58 t/ha.
