The ZEGRI variety, also designated in scientific literature as ILC 200, is a product of breeding work conducted with the participation of international centers. It is included in studies as genetic material possessing an acceptable degree of resistance to the pathogen Ascochyta rabiei.

In economic terms, the variety has been used in comparative trials to evaluate the nutritional value of seeds as a protein supplement in the feed rations of ruminants. The variety is oriented toward the climatic conditions of Spain and North African countries.
