The variety belongs to the escarole type (var. latifolium) and forms a voluminous, vigorous, and dense head. The leaves are large, dark green, thick, and have well-defined veining. During growth, the inner leaves of the tightly closed head become light, acquiring a whitish-yellow hue.
The period from transplanting to harvest is 70–80 days. The plant is valued for its cold hardiness, which allows it to be used for autumn-winter production. The harvested crop is characterized by good keeping quality and high taste qualities.
