The variety belongs to the large curly endive type. The plant is characterized by a large and vigorous habit; the leaves are semi-serrated and dissected with narrow veins. The leaf blade color is medium-green, and the inner part of the plant (the heart) is yellow.

The variety has high yield and good field holding ability. The quality of the lower part of the head when harvested as a "whole head" is rated as high. The produce is used for whole-head retail sales, industrial processing, and inclusion in salad mixes.
