The plant reaches a height of about 20 cm and is characterized by its suitability for year-round cultivation. The leaves of the variety have a crunchy texture and a pronounced white midrib. Blanching by tying the rosette may be required to reduce bitterness and make the leaves more tender.

The variety has moderate resistance to low temperatures. Culinary uses include both fresh consumption in salads and heat treatment, such as boiling.
