The Frisée endivette variety belongs to the group of curly endives. The plant is cultivated as a leaf lettuce and is versatile for growing in greenhouses and in the open field.

Young leaves are suitable for cutting when reaching a height of 8–10 cm, which allows harvesting several times per season. The plant is used fresh in salads, as well as for stewing and preparing soups.

Sowing is carried out in the period from May to July, harvesting is carried out from July to October. The plant prefers sunny areas and well-drained soils; dense sowing without subsequent thinning is recommended.
