The variety belongs to the curly endive group (var. crispum). The plant forms a voluminous and dense leaf rosette approximately 40 cm in diameter. The foliage is abundant, finely curled, light green in color, and a distinctive feature is the leaf petioles with a slight pink tint.

The period from sowing to harvest is from 10 to 15 weeks. The variety shows good tolerance to high temperatures. The leaves possess a property of natural blanching of the inner part of the rosette, and bitterness decreases with lower air temperatures and light frosts.
