The plant forms a dense rosette of narrow long leaves with a deeply incised curly edge. The vegetation period is from 45 to 60 days. The variety has the ability to naturally blanch the heart; however, to obtain the lightest center, it is recommended to bind the leaves additionally.
The leaves have a delicate crunchy texture and a mild taste with moderate bitterness. The plant is sufficiently resistant to short-term temperature drops to 0°C, but in heat or moisture deficit, the bitterness increases, and with prolonged exposure to high temperatures, the variety is prone to bolting.
Prefers sunny sites with fertile drained soil. Intended primarily for fresh consumption in salads, often used in salad mixes, and suitable for the spring-summer growing cycle.
