The Festive F1 variety is a hybrid form of witloof chicory. It is intended for chicon production by forcing from root crops in the dark; the optimal period for this process lasts from December to May.

The plant belongs to the mid-late maturity group. A distinctive morphological feature of the variety is the intense red-green leaf color, which gives the crop a decorative appearance.
