The variety is the result of crossing Cichorium intybus and Cichorium endivia lines. The plant has a short habit and semi-erect foliage. The leaves are narrow, short, light or medium green in color with a strongly jagged, serrated edge and pronounced waviness.

The head has an elliptical shape, small diameter, and a loose structure with an open top. The variety is characterized by early or medium-early flowering with the formation of short flower stalks with blue flowers. With early sowing, a medium or strong tendency to bolting occurs, while the variety has a low percentage of brown axes in the heads.
