The plant forms an upright leaf rosette 20 to 33 cm in height. The heads are elongated, dense and compact. The leaves are large, round-shaped, light green in color with distinct white veining, and have a crispy texture. The taste is delicate, with a slight bitterness.

The variety is undemanding and can be grown in open field and under film covers. Sowing is recommended in spring or summer on fertile, moderately moist soils. It is used fresh as a salad crop, and is also suitable for boiling and use in hot dishes.
