The Arashan F1 (VDL 5003 F1) hybrid forms a vigorous plant with a well-developed root system and long stems. The variety has high fruit set with round-oval fruits featuring a striped smooth rind of moderate thickness.

The fruit flesh is dark red, uniform, contains 10–11% sugar and small black seeds. The watermelons are suitable for transportation and storage for 1–2 months. The variety shows resistance to Fusarium wilt, anthracnose, temperature fluctuations, and sunburn.

The plant is intended for cultivation in open field. The yield is used for sale on the fresh market, processing, and pickling.
