The Petite treat variety is a triploid seedless hybrid of the mini type. The fruit have a predominantly oval shape with green stripes on the rind and reach a weight of 1.4 to 2.7 kg.
The watermelon flesh is bright red in color and contains a high sugar level. The maturation period for the crop is about 85 days. A characteristic of the variety is a tendency for hollow heart formation, as well as the need for pollinators during cultivation.
The variety is intended for commercial production and compact home gardens. During trials, a lower yield was noted compared to a number of other modern mini-watermelon hybrids.
