The tree of the variety is characterized by an upright crown shape, dense foliage, and thin drooping branches without thorns. The leaves are of medium size, have a shiny leathery surface, and are lanceolate in shape. The fruits are of medium size, rounded and slightly flattened, weighing from 70 to 200 grams.

The fruit peel is yellowish-orange, thin, and smooth, fitting tightly to the flesh. The flesh is of a deep orange color, contains up to 43% juice, and is characterized by a rich aroma. The variety is mid-late, maturing from December to March, with fruits able to maintain quality on the tree for a long time.

The variety is prone to biennial bearing and is considered cold-hardy. A characteristic feature of the classic Kinnow is the presence of a large number of seeds, which is due to polyembryony.
