YUMA PONTEROSA rootstock is a hybrid used for grafting citrus crops. It is characterized by high vigor and increases the productivity of grafted varieties. When using this rootstock, a decrease in the content of soluble solids and fruit acidity is noted, along with an increase in ascorbic acid concentration. The plant is resistant to the tristeza virus and Phytophthora parasitica, but is sensitive to gummosis and nematodes; it is recommended for well-drained soils.

The Ponderosa variety is a small tree for indoor cultivation up to 1.5 meters in height with a spreading crown, large stiff leaves, and thorns. The plant is remontant, with abundant flowering of large white flowers. The fruits are large, weighing up to 1000 g, have a thick bumpy rind and bittersweet pulp with seeds. The variety easily adapts to indoor conditions and is propagated by cuttings.
