The plant reaches 2.5–3.0 meters in height. The flowers are large, 8–13 cm in diameter, and have a reddish-pink hue with a more intense pink stripe in the center of the petals. The perianth consists of 6 obovate tepals, the stamens are pink, and the anthers are reddish-brown or grey-violet.

Flowering is abundant and occurs on current-year shoots from July to September. The variety belongs to the 3rd (hard) pruning group, for which it is recommended to prune the shoots to the base or leave 1–2 pairs of buds. The variety is a seedling of Clematis Ville de Lyon and is suitable for vertical gardening.
