The plant is a vine ranging from 1.5 to 3 meters in height, intended for vertical landscaping. It can be used on supports, as a groundcover plant, or planted next to shrubs. The variety prefers sunny locations protected from the wind.

The flowers are elliptical in shape and consist of 4–6 petals of violet-purple-red color with a light stripe in the middle. Contrast is provided by white filaments and yellow anthers of the stamens. The diameter of the flowers varies from 5 to 14 cm; sometimes a subtle fragrance is noted.

Flowering occurs on the current year's shoots in the period from July to September. The variety belongs to pruning group 3, which involves low pruning of shoots in the autumn. The plant is frost-resistant and possesses high resistance to diseases.
