The variety is the result of a twenty-year breeding program aimed at preserving genetic resources and adapting the plant to local conditions. It is intended for cultivation as a culinary herb for the fresh produce market.

The plant has an upright habit. The stem and flower are characterized by a medium degree of anthocyanin pigmentation. The variety belongs to the group with an intermediate or late onset of the flowering phase.
