Variety description

The variety is a shrub or small tree 3–5 meters tall with a wide spreading crown. The oval-shaped red-cherry fruits have an average weight of 3.1–4 grams, with the pit accounting for 10–12% of the fruit weight.

The variety is late-maturing: the harvest takes place from late September to early October, sometimes until early November. Ripening is uneven; the harvesting period is short. The plant is distinguished by high yield, resistance to diseases, pests, drought, and air pollution.

The fruit composition includes about 10% sugars and 2.8% acids with a relatively low pectin content. The variety is cross-pollinated, therefore, to ensure fruiting, planting other Cornelian cherry varieties nearby is required.
