Variety description

10 August 2026

The plant is a widely spreading shrub 3–6 meters tall with rounded heart-shaped leaves that turn orange-yellow in autumn. Flowering occurs in March–April with yellow catkins.

The variety is mid-late, with fruit ripening occurring in mid–late September. The nuts are large, up to 4 cm thick, have an obovate shape and a sweetish taste. Abundant fruiting begins from the sixth year of life.

The plant is frost-resistant, tolerates pruning well and prefers fertile, drained soils. The variety is not self-fertile; for a stable yield, planting of pollinator varieties at a distance of up to 4–5 meters is required.
